Photographing womxn empowerment sessions is truly an honor for me. Being able to actually see the confidence and self-love build throughout the day is one of my favorite things. I get to experience this with each Spark Experience, and I want to give you a peek into what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera experiencing it. The best way to do that is to listen to the womxn who have been through a Spark Experience firsthand!

We spent a day together in the Spark Studio recently and it was so powerful! Jennifer was kind enough to share about her Spark Experience below. I hope reading about her journey inspires you within your own today!
I'm 37 years old and a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls. I love motherhood but no one told me how easy it is to get lost in your family and to start putting yourself last. My kids’ social lives and even outfits were surpassing mine! The idea of a Spark shoot always sounded exciting, but also somehow out of reach and unrealistic for me. After all, moms aren't meant to be sexy, right? Wrong!

I couldn't wait to be the star of the show for the day. It was all about me for once! And I was ready to dig deep for the confidence I used to have and let that shine.

Lindsay made me feel everything but nervous leading up to the shoot. I felt excited, comfortable, open to ideas and ready to totally commit to this experience. When I talk about my Spark shoot with people, the one constant that I bring up is that I felt like a supermodel. From the minute I walked through the door, Lindsay set the tone for the day and tailored everything to my liking-- from the music to the coffee and beyond. Hair and make-up was filled with laughs, pampering and Michelle made me look tastefully sexy.

My favorite part was the viewing session. Seeing all the pictures up on the big screen was more emotional than I expected! To see myself in that light was something very special and personal. Lindsay knows exactly how to highlight your best features.
Through this experience I remembered who I am. Not just a mother and a wife, but a strong, beautiful woman.

I have two big prints hanging in our bedroom and four 8x10 prints hanging in our walk-in closet. I also have my portrait box displayed on my dresser. I absolutely love seeing them every day... and so does my husband!

Another piece of my experience that I’d like to share is that I was basically walking around the studio half-naked but I never felt like I was! Anyone can take a beautiful photograph, but it takes a special person to make the woman in that photo feel comfortable and empowered. Lindsay did such an amazing job making me feel at ease.

Thank you, Jennifer! What I think I love most about her story is that Jennifer was able to step back into her confidence when she slowed down to take time for herself. Her love for her family wasn’t diminished, but strengthened as she embraced her full self as a beautiful, powerful and multi-faceted woman.

Do you relate to Jennifer and her story? Maybe it’s time for you to step out of the shadows and let yourself shine again. I’d love to talk to you about your own Spark Experience!
